Do I need a scan to order retainers?
If you completed treatment with BASMA, we already have your scans and you can order retainers immediately. If you are new to BASMA, you will need a quick 3D scan at a partner clinic so we can create retainers that fit your teeth precisely. After you place your order, we’ll arrange your appointment at the clinic you selected.
Can I buy retainers even if I didn’t use BASMA for my treatment?
Yes. Anyone can order BASMA retainers. If you were not previously a BASMA patient, you will simply need a quick scan at a partner clinic so we can produce your custom retainers. After you place your order, we’ll arrange your appointment at the clinic you selected.
Can I order retainers for only one arch (upper or lower)?
Yes. You can choose to order a retainer for only one arch (upper or lower) during checkout. Single-arch pricing: One-time retainer: USD 100 Retainer subscription: USD 50 every 6 months This option is useful if you only need to replace the upper or lower retainer.
How long do retainers last?
Most retainers remain effective for approximately 6 months. This is why many people choose the retainer subscription, which provides fresh retainers every 6 months.
How should I wear my retainers?
If you’ve just finished orthodontic treatment, wear your retainers 22 hours a day for the first two weeks to stabilize your teeth. After that, wear them nightly while sleeping to keep your smile aligned.
What happens after I place my order?
If you're a BASMA customer, we’ll begin preparing your retainers using your existing scans. If you're new to BASMA, we'll assign you to the partner clinic you selected during checkout. The clinic will contact you to schedule a quick 3D scan appointment. Once your scan is completed, we’ll produce and ship your custom retainers.
What if my retainer feels loose or doesn't fit properly?
Your retainers are custom-made using precise digital scans. If you experience any issues with the fit, contact the BASMA care team at [email protected] and we’ll help assess the situation and guide you on the next steps.
What should I do if I lose or damage my retainer?
If your retainer is lost or damaged, you can easily order a replacement through the BASMA website. Keeping a spare or subscribing to regular replacements can help ensure your smile stays protected.
Can I cancel my retainer subscription?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription from the BASMA application before the next billing cycle. A minimum of two payment cycles is required before cancellation is allowed.
