Does Basma treat all my teeth?

Our aligners work on aligning your front 8 teeth on both the top and bottom arches. Our invisible aligners do not move molars or wisdom teeth. The treatment does not treat jaw or bite issues but sometimes bite corrections are a result of invisible aligner treatments.

Basma aligners are an alternative to the conventional metallic braces if you have mild to moderate crowding or spacing issues. Each step in your invisible aligner treatment will move your teeth closer to their final position.

We only treat cases that our orthodontists think are the right fit. Our orthodontists design your treatment plan and we’ll show you a 3D view of how your teeth will change during the treatment. Each aligner in your plan is a step designed in advance, so our orthodontists can continuously monitor your progress to ensure your treatment is going as planned.

How do the orthodontists check my progress?

Every 2 weeks for as long as your treatment lasts, we’ll need you to upload pictures of your teeth to your account on Basma.com or directly on the app. That way, our orthodontists can keep track of your progress online, and check if everything is going well! Through our carefully designed tele-health platform, our orthodontists can follow up and monitor your progress just like they would do in-clinic!

When will I receive my Treatment Plan and how can I access it?

Once we receive your completed impressions or the scans of your teeth from your clinic visit, we'll need only 4 days to design your custom treatment plan and 3D simulation of what your teeth will look like after the treatment. You can always check out your new smile on your account of through the app at any time!

What's included in my BASMA aligner box?

You aligner box comes with everything you need to get you to that beautiful smile. It includes your series of aligners, an aligner guide, chewies, a carry case, and a retainer.

How do I use my chewies with my aligners?

Accepted Answer

We include chewies with your treatment to help seat the aligners properly on your teeth. Use them for one minute every time you wear your aligners. Snap on the aligners and hold the chewie between your teeth, chew on it and move it from side to side.

What happens after I finish my treatment?

To protect your new smile after completing the aligner treatment (or any other orthodontic treatment), you'll need to wear retainers to keep your teeth from naturally shifting back with time. We'll send you a complimentary retainer at the end of your treatment, but we recommend that you replace your retainers every 6 months.

What happens at the doctor’s consultation?

During your appointment, we will take a full 3D scan and a few photos of your teeth. The doctor will also check the health of your teeth. Using the 3D scan and photos, our orthodontists will design your treatment plan and define the duration of your treatment.

Can I reschedule my 3D scan appointment?

Of course! You can reach out to us or to the clinic where your appointment was booked to reschedule to a more convenient time.

Can I drink or smoke during the whitening period?

Accepted Answer

Smoking may stain your teeth or elongate the whitening process. Similarly, beverages containing colorants, such as coffee or tea, also stain teeth. It is better to avoid them during your whitneing treatment.
